Appendix High Potential Individual Visa

Like any other immigration rule the Appendix: High Potential Individual Visa also has validity, suitability, and eligibility requirements for the application as a high potential individual visa. This visa is for graduates from top global universities to work or look for work in the UK. The visa offers a great opportunity for overseas graduates to explore career opportunities available in the UK. The high-potential allows the UK to attract international graduates to come to the UK and contribute to the UK’s economy.

What is a high-potential individual visa?

The high-potential individual visa route allows recent graduates from top universities across the globe to come to the UK to work or look for work in the UK. The visa allows you to do most jobs, but you cannot work as a professional sportsperson. The visa also allows you to study if the course you have chosen is not eligible for a UK student visa.

The visa was opened on 30 May 2022, and this is a point-based visa. However, unlike the UK skilled worker visa, this is an unsponsored route. This means you don’t need a job offer from a UK-based organization to apply for a high-potential individual visa.

You must have completed an eligible course of study equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree level or above. The university where you studied must have been listed on the Global Universities List on the date you were awarded the degree. Your dependent part and children can also apply on this visa route.
